RO4360 laminate process is highly similar to that of FR4 which is why it is often referred to as a low-loss version of FR4. It has superior electrical performance due to its dielectric constant and dissipation factors. Its high thermal conductivity also makes it suitable for applications requiring heat dissipation. Automated assembly is also possible due to its thermoplastic properties which make it easier to machine. Plus, it has a high Tg as all of the RO4000 series materials.

It has a standard thickness of 0.008 to 0.060 inches and panel sizes of 12” X 18”, 24” X 18”, and 48” X 36. This makes it suitable for applications requiring small to large size boards with good electrical performance.

RO4360 also has a low coefficient of thermal expansion which ensures that it will not warp or crack in extreme temperatures. With a UL rating of 94V-0, it is also flame-retardant and has superior insulation properties.
